The Very Hungry Caterpillar

We hosted a very small playgroup at our house today.  When, the kids first arrived, we played the Hokey Pokey.  Next, I read The Very Hungry Caterpillar to the kiddos.

Then, it was snack time. We had a caterpillar shaped cookie (because the story is about a caterpillar) and fruit (because the caterpillar ate a lot of fruit throughout the story).

Last, we made balancing butterflies (because the caterpillar turns into a butterfly at the end of the story).

If you read my other blog, then yes, these activities may look familiar - we've done them in the past couple of years :)
